How does it work?
We provide you with a real-time product data feed accessible over the Internet via a Web Service API (for information on the API service see our developer's resource page) where we provide you with a database file of all of our 200,000+ art prints & posters that we carry. This data file is updated with up-to-the-minute stock level and detailed product information, and can be called via the API as frequently as several times per day without any API fees.
The data we provide includes:
- Product item number - Our product item number to uniquely identify the item.
- Artist name - Last and first name provided as separate fields.
- Paper size - In inches, height and width.
- Image size - If the art has a border, the image will be smaller than the paper size.
- Retail price - The suggested retail price of the item.
- Inventory level - Real-time inventory level on hand.
- Categorization data - Detailed hierarchical categorization details (subject matter, genre, and color groups).
- Product images - Web resolution JPEG for full size view and thumbnail view.
- Eligible for canvas transfer - While the vast majority of our art is eligible to be bought on canvas, some artists have prohibited this, which this field indicates.
- Eligible for framing - While any of our art can be framed, if you utilize us for framing fulfillment, some pieces are too large or irregular to be framed by us, which this field indicates.
Functionality provided by our API:
- Retrieve changes and revisions to data - Real time updates of all product information and newly added items available for purchase.
- Place orders electronically - Use the API to automatically place orders directly into our system.
- Check order status electronically - Get up-to-the minute updates of the status of orders as they go from processing to shipping.
- Modify orders electronically - Add or remove items from orders, update billing and shipping information directly through the API.
You then place the order with us electronically to have orders directly sent to our fulfillment center. When we fulfill the order all of our outgoing packages are labeled with your brand so the end customer is always presented with the face of your company. All of the orders that are shipped are sent with tracking numbers via the shipping service provider so that you can track the packages allowing you to always know the status of each item.

Can I add custom framing and canvas options to the items?
Yes, via our web service API you can pass in the piece of art and the framing or canvas configuration and it passes back a preview image and detailed pricing information. Our IT team can coach your developers through the coding process so your website will have a framing tool integrated and displayed properly on your website. We would encourage all customers who participate in the Database Program to make this an essential part of their offering. We can also provide sample source code to fast track this process for you. For larger customers, if you'd like the ability to offer custom framing options without developing any code of your own, we can provide you with a premade custom frame shop that runs on our servers, but features your logo and matches your site's look and feel, which then passes the items back to your shopping cart.
If you'd like to offer a standard framing option (such as offering the art with a pre-set black frame) without giving your customers complete control to custom frame the art, this can be easily accomplished as well.
What is the quality of this data?
We have a dedicated content management team that constantly updates our data feed with the newest products available, discontinued product information, pricing revisions, and more. This is particularly important for the "entertainment posters" selection of our products. Since new movies, and the hype that surrounds them, are very time sensitive, having the posters available for sale as soon as the movie is released is paramount to maximizing sales. Furthermore, every item that comes into our inventory is hand measured and scanned creating our own hi-res images to ensure that the data and image feed accurately reflects the physical items.
Can I just offer a few canvas and/or pre-framed items?
Yes, we offer a hand picked line of pre-configured art on canvas and framed art that you can load up to your site for your customers to purchase as-is without having to add a custom frame shop to your site. This is also ideal for customers who only wish to sell a small selection of art on their sites and do not require our entire inventory of 200,000+ items.
